The design of a new website requires 5 steps:
Step 1: Establish Client’s Requirements
This involves a customer interview in person or by telephone / email to establish the customer’s exact requirements. Once the client’s requirements have been established, a detailed description of the project and website will be compiled and forwarded to the client together with a quote.
The client then has to accept the project description and quote in writing. As soon as the deposit has been paid and the required content has been submitted by the client, the project will commence. The client must at this stage register the domain name and submit his hosting details to us.
Step 2: Design of Home Page
The Home page and navigational structure of the webpage is designed and coded. The design is submitted to the client for approval. The client may request one set of changes to the design. As soon as the overall design is approved by the client, the coding of the other pages of the website will commence.
Step 3: Design of Website pages
The rest of the website pages are coded and the content / images supplied by the client are inserted. Pages are linked to the navigational menu. The site is hosted on a testing server for
the customer to review. The client may request one set of content / image changes. At this stage any changes to the structure that was approved in step 2 will be charged at our normal hourly rates.
Step 4: Publishing of site
Once the client signs the Project Release form and makes final payment, the website will be released from the testing server and uploaded to the customer’s hosting service provider. The website will also be submitted to the major search engines for indexing as soon as it is uploaded.
Step 5: Corrections
The client may bring any spelling mistakes etc. to our attention. We will correct any mistakes free of charge for 30 days after uploading the site to the hosting service. Any content changes that were not part of the original project will be seen as a new project and require to a separate quote.
